Thank You For Making the Humane Society Event A Success!
What a great turn out! We could not have asked for a better group of people to help us celebrate and support the Oregon Humane Society at the Portland GiveBack January 2012 event.
Stephanie Kittrell and the group from the Humane Society brought in 4 of the sweetest adoptable pets. The brother and sister, sweet brown Scout and little black kitty stole the show!
The event raised $1468 and counting! Featured artist, Chris Nelson was kind enough to not only share her passion of painting cats and dogs but also agreed to give 50% of all art proceeds directly to the Humane Society.
“Community Champion” representive, Gary Boyer from Impac Mortgage was one of our speakers. Sponsorship played a key role in the success of this event and we can’t say enough good things about; Oregon First, Impac Mortgage, NW Neighborhood Veterinary Hospital, Securus Payments, Bear Printing & Dana Thompson Tanks & Soil. You made this event possible!
James Hanset with Great Escape Catering came armed. His food spread was a hit! The grilled veggies, baked brie and, marinated pork were only some of the treats that filled guests tummies.
Congratulation to Mags Guth our Raffle Prize winner. Mags walked away with a cool new iPod Touch…lucky girl! Mags wanted to give a special thanks to Brandy Pace for inviting her to her first Portland GiveBack event. “You guys threw a nice event, with great people. People will come to an event that is believable with great people. Good job!”
We can’t wait to see you all May 30th for the next 2012 Portland GiveBack Benefit as we learn more about what P:EAR Mentoring does for our community.
